The MPA family experienced a significant loss this past week when Sr. Liz Peplow went to the Lord. A delight to all with her engaging stories and humor, she will be dearly missed. We have all been greatly blessed with her love of life and joy. She has left her wonderful spirit to dance among us. How do we thank the Lord enough for her presence!
Sr. Liz worked passionately and tirelessly for many causes both in the St. Louis area and abroad. She co-founded the St. Charles Lwanga Center in north St. Louis County, a spirituality center for African-American Catholics. Sr. Liz also worked with the Nia Kuumba Spirituality Center, a place for African-American women. She was a member of the Fontbonne University board.
Most recently she had been working with MicroFinancing Partners in Africa as our Outreach Coordinator. Many of you are familiar with Sr. Liz’s projects: the Ambassadors program; the Night on the Town monthly fundraising dinners; and her passion for the Cow Project.
Sr. Liz is survived by her two sisters and her nieces, nephew, and great-niece.
Donations may be made in her honor to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province, 6400 Minnesota Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63111, or MicroFinancing Partners of Africa, 4949 Columbia Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63139.
